Obituary of George L. "Mike" Veigel

George L. Veigel, 85, of East Windsor, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 13, 2020, 

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, George resided in East Windsor for over 40 years.  He was an honorably discharged U.S. Navy veteran and received his associates degree from Drexel University. George went on to work as a manager and vice president for Triangle Cable Company for many years he then worked as a school bus aide for the East Windsor Township school system.

In his spare time George loved fishing and boating. Above all else he treasured time with his family and spending time on Long Beach Island.

Predeceased by his parents, George and Florence (Dear) Veigel; he is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy L. (Bentz) Veigel; his daughters and sons-in law, Tracey and David Martin and Lori and Ken Bauersfeld; his grandsons and their wives, Daniel and Crissy and David and Morgan Walter; his great granddaughter, Ciera; and his sisters, Dorothy McGeehan and Margaret Sigmund.

Cremation services will be private under the direction of Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.
