Eileen Markiewicz, 91, of Coram, New York, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Good Shepard Hospice in Port Jefferson, NY.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she has resided in Coram, NY, for many years. Mrs. Markiewicz worked as a typist with Bell Telephone for many years.

In her free time, Mrs. Markiewicz enjoyed spending time in her yard gardening and bird watching. Above all else, she loved caring for her family.

Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Elizabeth (Frey) Fanning; and her husband, Joseph J. Markiewicz; she is survived by her daughters, Janet Orey and her husband, Brian, and Donna Milcarek and her husband, Dave; her son, Darren Markiewicz; her grandchildren, Heather Kearney, Glenn Orey, Eileen Milcarek and Ben Milcarek.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
