Michele Tara Finger, 55, of Millstone, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center – Fuld, in Trenton.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Michele attended the University of Iowa, Penn State, McDaniel College and Utica University. She achieved her bachelors, Masters and PhD degrees and went on to be a Professor of Social and Human Science at Penn State at the State College main campus.

Michele was a talented painter and especially enjoyed working with water colors. She also loved her little pets.

Predeceased by her father, Charles K. Carlson; and her brother, Thomas S. Carlson; she is survived by her son, Francis J. “Frankie” Finger, IV, of Millstone; her mother, Pamela C. Katzman and her husband, Fred, of Millstone; and her loving, extended family, including Dan and Sherri Katzman.

Cremation will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.
