Obituary of Dawn Pavone

Dawn Pavone, 92, of Millstone, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

 

Born on Long Island, NY, and raised in Nassau County, Mrs. Pavone owned a bookkeeping business on Long Island until coming to New Jersey with her husband, Gilbert, and their family. She and Gilbert went into business together when they purchased, Jilco Equipment Leasing of Cranbury in 1984. She worked until retiring at age 81.

 

Mrs. Pavone enjoyed time at the shore in Ocean City, New Jersey and in years past, enjoyed sailing on the Long Island Sound.  An avid reader, she would read two or three books a week.

 

Predeceased by her parents, Joseph Andrus and Rose Skedel; and her husband of 61 years, Gilbert Pavone; she is survived by her children and their spouses, Steven Pavone, Donna and Thomas Matt, and Denise and Jeffrey Storck; her grandchildren, Geoffrey (Heather) Matt, and Lauren, Julie and Spencer Brooks; her great-grandchildren,    

Hunter and Tyler; and her nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 156 Maxwell Avenue, Hightstown, NJ 08520.

 

Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover, NJ. 

 

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Pavone’s memory to Parkinson’s Foundation or Myasthenia Gravis Foundation by visiting In Memory Of at inmemof.org.
