Obituary of Olivia Luz Mercedes Vargas

Olivia Luz Mercedes Vargas, beloved daughter of Luis and Raquel Vargas, was welcomed in Heaven on Monday, February 4, 2019.

She was born on June 28, 2018 at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Along with her parents, Olivia is survived by her great-grandmother, Tomasa Colon; her grandparents, Mercedes Colon-Vargas, David Vargas, Sr., Luz Tabora-Vega and Luis Vega; her uncles, David, Izzy, Jesse, Spencer, Jeremy and David, Jr.; and her aunts, Sara and Evita. Olivia will also be forever remembered by her numerous cousins, extended family and dear friends.

Olivia loved to listen and dance to salsa by Marc Anthony and her favorite nursery rhymes, especially Baby Shark.

Olivia’s family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors that took care of their sweet Olivia at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m., at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.

Interment services will be begin on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at East Windsor Cemetery, 790 Windsor Perrineville Rd., East Windsor, NJ.
