Obituary of Joan B. Williamson

Joan B. Williamson, 82, of East Windsor, New Jersey, passed away at home on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in East Windsor, NJ surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Joan and her family moved to Long Island, New York in 1956. She was a graduate of Port Jefferson High School. She later moved to Ronkonkoma, L.I., NY where she resided before moving to East Windsor with her husband over 55 years ago to raise their family.  Once her children were older, Joan was an aide in the East Windsor School District for many years and adored working with children. 

Joan cherished time with her family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Magdalene (Kallina) Piazza; her husband, Paul A. Williamson, Jr.; and her brother, John Piazza; she is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Paul R. and Cheryl Williamson of Burlington, NJ, Jeffrey A. and Lisa Williamson of Delaware City, DE, and Matthew A. Williamson of East Windsor, NJ; her sister, Angela Hull of Long Island, NY; and her beloved grandchildren, Kiri Fountain and Jordan Williamson.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.  A funeral service will follow beginning at 12:30 p.m. 

Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
