Obituary of Jose A. Rodriguez

José A. Rodríguez, de 83 años, de Jamesburg, falleció en su casa con su amada esposa a su lado el lunes 18 de Septiembre de 2023.

Nacido en la República Dominicana, José, conocido por familiares y amigos como Sosa, llegó a los Estados Unidos en 1963. Sirvió con orgullo en el ejército de los Estados Unidos. Vivió en Brooklyn, Nueva York y Hightstown antes de establecerse en Jamesburg. José fue operador de equipos para Rider Logistics en Cranbury durante muchos años hasta su jubilación en 2002.

Fallecidos antes por sus padres, José Rodríguez y María Dolores Vargas; su hijo, Daniel Guzmán; y su hermano Domingo; y su hermana, Mercedes; le sobreviven su amada esposa durante 40 años, Mónica Guzmán; sus hijos, Marisol Rodríguez, Sandra Rodríguez y José Rodríguez y Ceineida, Edwin y Leo Guzmán; sus nietos, Monique, Armani, Sofia, Daniel, Edwin, Christopher y Angel; sus hermanos, Roberto, Manuel, Louisa, Minerva y Carmen; y sus sobrinas y sobrinos.

El velorio para familiares y amigos se llevará a cabo el sábado 23 de septiembre de 2023, de 9:00 a. m. a 11:00 a. m., con un funeral que comenzará a las 11:00 a. m., en Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services en Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison. Ave., Hightstown, Nueva Jersey.

Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio Fernwood en Jamesburg, Nueva Jersey.

Jose A. Rodriguez, 83, of Jamesburg, passed away at home with his loving wife by his side on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Jose, known to family and friends as Sosa came to the United States in 1963. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He lived in Brooklyn, New York and Hightstown before settling down in Jamesburg. Jose was an equipment operator for Rider Logistics in Cranbury for many years until his retirement in 2002. 

Predeceased by parents, Jose Rodriguez and Maria Dolores Varga; his son, Daniel Guzman; and his brother, Domingo; and his sister, Mercedes; he is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Monica Guzman; his children, Marisol Rodriguez, Sandra Rodriguez and Jose Rodriguez and Ceineida, Edwin, and Leo Guzman; his grandchildren, Monique, Armani, Sofia, Daniel, Edwin, Christopher, and Angel; his siblings, Roberto, Manuel, Louisa, Minerva, and Carmen; and his nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.

Interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery in Jamesburg, NJ.
