Obituary of Theresa J. Lindbloom

Theresa J. (Horvath) Lindbloom, lovingly known as Terry, 92, of Hamilton, NJ, formerly of East Windsor, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, July 30, 2023.

Born in Chicago, IL, Terry was raised in Chicago and Canton. She and her husband Robert, lovingly known as Bob, then made their home in East Windsor, NJ, where they raised their family. After Bob’s passing, Terry then settled in Hamilton, NJ seven years ago.

Terry began her career in Illinois as a hairdresser and telephone operator. Her focus then became creating a loving and welcoming home for her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Time with family was paramount to Terry and her late husband, Bob. They were dedicated to raising their children and felt truly blessed as their family grew with the arrival of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To them, family was everything. Terry will be remembered for her unwavering love and support for her family.

From an early age, Terry loved music. She sang in her church choir and in her younger years competed in the Blue Bird Competition… which she won! She enjoyed musicals and always had music playing in her home. Her appreciation for music has been passed down through the generations. Terry also enjoyed entertaining family and friends; who became family. She was an avid reader and crocheter and has gifted many handmade heirlooms to friends and family over the years.

Terry was a longtime, faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of East Windsor.

Predeceased by her parents, Catherine (Marinich) and Francis Horvath; her husband, Robert J. Lindbloom; her grandson, Eric L. Ruck; her sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Ed Bokowy; and her brothers-in-law, Jack Halter and Hank Pollner; Terry is survived by her children and their spouses, Mark and Jennie Lindbloom, Cynthia and Joseph Mezick; and Sharon and Larry Ruck; her seven grandchildren, Matthew (Amnah), Sarah (John), Kristin (Bill), Alex (Caroline), Melissa, Elizabeth (Jacob) and Christina (Matt); her six great-grandchildren, Carter, Kaia, Wyatt, Sylvia, Savanna, and Liam; her sisters and brother, Genevieve Halter, Rosemary Pollner, and Frank “Buddy” Horvath and his wife, Margaret; her many nieces and nephews; and her bonus Mezick Family grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Avenue, Hightstown, NJ.

Church services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 79 One Mile Road Ext., East Windsor, NJ.

Cremation will be private with an interment at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in the near future.
