Obituary of Marianne K. Dye

Marianne K. Dye, 81, of Houston Texas, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 20, 2023, in Houston, Texas. 

Born in Hopewell, NJ, she was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1959 and later graduated from Mercer Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her credentials as a Registered Nurse.

Marianne devoted herself to family by raising her children and supporting her husband.  She also loved the opportunity to become an RPN, volunteering for the Lexington, KY Health Department, and serving as a teacher’s aide at Dixie Elementary School, where her children attended.   

Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Martha (Ackerman) Kilmer and her husband of 52 years, Walter R. Dye, III; she is survived by her children Robert W. Dye, Patricia and her husband, Michael Collins, and Pamela and her husband, Jeffrey Smith; her 5 grandchildren; her brother, Donald Kilmer and his wife, Connie; her sisters-in-law, Trudy Dye, and Jenifer Dye and her husband, Richard Lewis.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Avenue, Hightstown, NJ 08520.

Interment will follow at Brainerd Cemetery in Cranbury, NJ.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
