John A. DiMedio, 78, of Sayreville, passed away on January 25, 2023 at his residence.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, John was raised in Camden and Cherry Hill, NJ and graduated from Bishop Eustace Preparatory School. John received his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and went on to earn his master’s degree from West Chester University. John then resided in Havertown, PA and the Philadelphia area before settling in Sayreville in 2008. He taught high school English, photography and theatre at Harriton High School for the Lower Merion School District for many years.

In his spare time, John enjoyed photography, gardening, backgammon, the beach, tennis, football, literature, and music.

Predeceased by his parents, Silvio and Adeline Dovi DiMedio, his brothers Silvio DiMedio and Arthur Croce; he is survived by his children, Christopher S. DiMedio of Bloomfield, NJ, Heather DelGrosso, of Phoenixville, PA and John DiMedio of Bryn Mawr, PA; his granddaughter, Abigail DelGrosso, his brother, Frank Croce (Nancy) and his children, Gina, Laura, and Frank, his dear friend Jack Jackson, and his other family members and friends.

Private cremation services were held under the direction of Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ. John will be celebrated during a private service and laid to rest close to his family at Cavalry Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
