Obituary of John "Jack" J. Francis

John “Jack” J. Francis, 76, of East Windsor, NJ and Naples, FL, passed away at home on Friday, November 30, 2018.

Born in Paterson, NJ and raised in Clifton, NJ, Jack came to East Windsor with his family in 1969.  He graduated from Bloomfield College with a bachelor’s degree in education. After teaching history early on, he went on to become an insurance broker starting the Francis Special Risk Agency with offices in NJ, PA, CA, and GA for over 40 years.

Jack loved his work, and in his free time enjoyed watching the Mets and the Giants. He also had a lifelong appreciation for music.

Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Gladys (Robinson) Francis; and his sister, Jane Wagner; Jack  is survived by his wife, Susan “Raleigh” (Kelting )Francis; his daughters and sons-in-law, Leigh and Raymond Bowker, Margaret and George Vardakis, and Susan and Jason Mickel; and his grandchildren, Alexander, Joseph and Hannah Bowker, Julia and Joseph Vardakis, and Jacob and Kathryn Mickel.

Cremation services will be private under the direction of Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Francis’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospitals for Children or The Sato Project via inmemof.org.
