Obituary of Karen Horgan-Peltier

Karen Horgan-Peltier, 66, of East Windsor, NJ, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, November 4, 2022.

 

Born and raised in the Inwood section of New York City, New York, Karen received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Pace University. She moved to New Jersey and strongly influenced and enhanced the Clinical Trial process at Convatec.  She went on to enjoy a 37 year career with Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Princeton, where she advanced into various roles in the Regulatory Affairs Departments, most recently as the Group Director of Regulatory Affairs for Promotion Integrity.

 

In her personal time, Karen enjoyed her life. She passed her love of Broadway musicals and plays on to her children. Travel was an integral part of her life, and she was the organizer of many family vacations domestically and internationally.

Her friends and family were very important. Her home was always the gathering place for many parties and extended family celebrations, where everyone was welcomed.

 

Predeceased by her father, James McDonnell, and her husband of 20 years, Steven R. Peltier; she is survived by her mother  Mildred McDonnell; her children: Ryan Horgan and Alexandra Peltier; her step-children: Eric Peltier (wife Vanessa) and Jeannette Peltier-Saar (husband Jason); her grandchildren: Hudson, Jordan and Harrison; her siblings: James McDonnell, Michael McDonnell (wife Martina), Eileen McDonnell, and Kathy Faup (husband Stephen); and her many nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Avenue, Hightstown, NJ.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Franklin Street & Maxwell Avenue, Hightstown, NJ.

 

Interment will follow at Veteran’s Cemetery at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
