Betty Joan Hulse, 93, of East Windsor, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, NJ.
Born and raised in New York City, Betty lived in the Bronx. After graduating from high school, she worked as a bookkeeper in a real estate office and then managed a dental office. After her husband’s retirement, she and her family moved upstate to Cuddebackville, New York where they resided for many years. There, she owned an antique store for over 20 years. She loved antiquing and Flea Markets. Above all else she treasured time with her family. After her husband’s death, she moved to Meadow Lakes where she resided until her death. She was active in helping greet new residents and enjoyed a rich social life and had many friends among the staff as well. She highly valued her independence.
Predeceased by her father, Edward Wedemeyer; her mother, Elizabeth (Jurgensen) Fick; her step-father, John Fick; and her husband, Alan Hulse; she is survived by her son, Russell Hulse and his wife, Jeanne V. Kuhlman; her daughter, Elizabeth Hayes; her nieces, Ellen Borysewicz, Jeannette Mayhew, Peggy Hendricksen, and Margaret McLaughlin; her cousins, Ellen Moore, Enid Corkran, Lynda Schultz; and her many great-nephews and great-nieces.
A Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Meadow Lakes, 300 Meadow Lakes, East Windsor, New Jersey 08520.
Cremation services were held privately.
The Hulse family requests masks be worn by all attendees at the visitation and funeral services honoring Mrs. Hulse.
