John F. Doyle, age 97, died on November 15, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville, NJ. Born in Hightstown, NJ, Mr. Doyle was a resident of East Windsor for almost ninety years. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church and was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council # 6284. He was also an Amateur Radio Operator, call sign WA2NQH. Mr. Doyle was a resident of Morris Hall in Lawrenceville for the past seven years and while there, served several terms as President of St. Joseph’s Resident Council, where he was affectionately known as “Mr. President.” He will be dearly missed by the residents and staff of Morris Hall, especially his caring friend, Arlene Kanzler. He was predeceased by his parents, John J. and Cecilia (Whalen) Doyle; his three brothers, Joseph W., James A. and Thomas P. Doyle; and his grandnephew, William J. Taylor. He is survived by his sister, Cecilia McConnell of Barnegat, NJ; his several nieces, and nephews; as well as his several grand and great-grand nephews and nieces. John was a man of deep faith who embodied Christian principles. He was a caring son, brother, and uncle who was a kind and thoughtful friend to all who knew him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021, at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 251 Franklin Street, Hightstown, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold, NJ. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021, from 10:15 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church.
