Carmen Maria Orengo, 87, of East Windsor, passed away at home on Monday, August 9, 2021. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico, Carmen has resided in New Jersey for many years. She was an assembly worker at Webcraft in North Brunswick. Devoted to her family, Carmen will be remembered for her loving and kind way. Predeceased by her parents, Francisco and Antonia (Montes) Orengo and her husband, Rafael Laboy; she is survived by her children, Martha Ortiz, Nilsa Reyes, Lilin Ortiz, Maria Ortiz, Domingo Ortiz, Ramonita Ortiz, Ivette Laboy, Luis Laboy, Juan Ortiz and Rafael Laboy; Sujeih Llanes, whom she raised; and her many grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., with a Prayer Service beginning at 4:15 p.m., at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ. Interment will take place privately at The New Cemetery in Yauco, Puerto Rico.
