Obituary of Gerald Frank Blumetti

Gerald “Jerry” F. Blumetti, 83, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.   

Born and raised in Rahway, Jerry resided in Avenel for most of his life. He then lived in Manalapan for 10 years before settling in Monroe five years ago.  He was the Station Manager for the Garden State Parkway South Exxon Station for over 35 years.  A quiet, gentle giant, many former employees fondly remember Jerry as a mentor and role model.

In earlier years, he served for 10 years in the Army National Guard and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.  A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, above all else, Jerry cherished time with his family.

Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Rose (Lucas) Blumetti; he is survived by his wife, Audrey (DeMarco) Blumetti; his sons, Carl and Edward Dowling; his daughter, Lisa A. Dowling; his grandchildren, Juliette Gardinier and Melanie Katzoff.

Funeral Services were private.
