If you have decided that cremation services in East Windsor, NJ are the best route for your loved one who has passed on, there are many different decisions to make after that part is completed. You can have the cremation done and that gives you the freedom to set whatever timeline you want on the rest of the services. You might want to have a memorial service, for example, and there are many different locations to consider for your event. You could have something in the park, for example. Here are some things to consider when you make the plans.

Check The Weather With Care

You want things to go well and you would like for your family to be as comfortable as possible. You are going to want to check the weather carefully and keep an eye on things as the date gets closer. There might be some things you can do no matter what the weather might be, but other things would be too uncomfortable. Try to choose a time of the year that is generally nice so you are able to move forward with your plans.

Have A Back Up Location And Plan

You really never know what the weather is going to do and if you plan things a few weeks in advance, you can’t predict what things will look like. It’s wise to have a backup location in case you have to move inside because of rain or even snow. Or, if you for sure what to have the service outside, you might want to have a backup plan. If your family lives close together in the area, you can push the service back a day or two.

Remember The Discomforts

There are some things that might happen when you are outside and you will want to combat those discomforts. In warmer weather, have bottles of water so no one gets dehydrated. In colder weather, pass out hand warmers. Perhaps have some umbrellas on standby when there’s a lot of sun or have the outdoor service under a tent for shade. You want everyone to appreciate the services and not have to worry about discomforts as much as possible.

Consider The Sound

When you are outside, the sound might carry differently. If you have a small group, that can be fine as you can be close together so everyone can hear. With a larger service, you want to consider a sound system so everyone can hear what is going on with the service. That is something you might have to bring in to an outdoor location.

When you are ready to have cremation services in East Windsor, NJ for a loved one who has passed on, having an outdoor memorial can be really nice. But you are going to want to think through the obstacles, the weather, discomforts, and other such things so you can get everything lined up just right for the family and friends you are going to have attend it. visit our facilities now and do some preplanning.
