Louis M. DeRosa Obituary

Louis “Lou” Matthew DeRosa, 84, of East Windsor, New Jersey, entered eternal rest with his Lord and Savior on May 30, 2026.

Born on March 4, 1942, in Orange, New Jersey, Lou was the beloved son of Louis R. and Dororthy DeRosa. He proudly served his country as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army and was honored with the Sharpshooter Medal.

Lou was a man of many talents and trades. He worked as an auto mechanic and electrician and had an incredible ability to fix virtually anything. He later spent much of his professional life as an employment advisor, where he found great fulfillment helping others discover meaningful careers and job opportunities. He also held a black belt in Shotokan Karate and made the best cup of coffee.

In 1983, Lou accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, a decision that was the foundation of his life. He found tremendous joy in serving the Lord through choir, church musicals, and numerous ministries and capacities at his home church through the years. His faith, kindness, and servant’s heart touched countless lives.

Lou is survived and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife he spent 47 wonderful years, Teena DeRosa; his loving daughter D. Alexis Reid; and his cherished son-in-law Joshua Reid, all of whom he loved deeply. He is also survived by his brother, Fiore DeRosa; sister-in-law, Judith Weiss; and very precious nieces and nephews all of whom he cherished and loved dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents, Louis R. and Dorothy DeRosa; his father- and mother-in-law Frank and Marion Weiss; his beloved niece, Carli; and many dear family members, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ who welcomed him into eternal peace.

Though Lou is greatly missed here on earth, his family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

In accordance with Lou’s wishes, no formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lou’s memory to Jacobstown Baptist Church. https://jacobstownbaptist.com/give
