Heinz G. Gorski Obituary
Heinz Gorski, 78, passed away peacefully over the weekend, leaving behind a legacy defined by resilience, love, and an unmistakable joy for life.
Born in Germany, Heinz immigrated to the United States at the age of 17, settling in New York. He went on to serve his country honorably in the Vietnam War, carrying that same strength and determination into every chapter of his life.
Heinz is survived by his beloved wife, Grace; his son, Bill and daughter-in-law, Linda; his grandson, Zachary and his wife, Rhea; and his great-grandchildren, Finley and Emersyn. He is also survived by his brother, Jean Pierre, and his sister, Michelle.
Heinz had a rare and remarkable gift: he truly loved life in a way few people do. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him could feel it immediately. He cherished time spent with family and friends and never missed an opportunity to gather, laugh, and connect.
He was also a man who took great joy in the simple pleasures especially food. No one enjoyed a meal quite like Heinz. He embraced every bite, every moment, every experience with a spirit best captured by the phrase joie de vivre, a deep and abiding joy of living. When you think of Heinz, friends, family and salami immediately came to mind.
Despite enduring profound loss, including the passing of his first wife, Marge, and his son, Felipe, Heinz’s light never dimmed. His ability to persevere, to continue loving fully, and to find joy in life’s moments was nothing short of extraordinary.
Heinz lived fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
