Obituary of Alyce B. Stocovaz

Alyce Balavage Stocovaz, 91, passed peacefully March 27th, 2025. Born and raised in Maizeville, PA, Alyce was a daughter of the late Bryan and Blanche Balavage. She graduated from Kutztown State College and taught elementary school in the Bucks County School District for several years. 

Alyce lived most of her adult years in Yardley, PA with her late husband, Roger Stocovaz, owner of the Yardley Inn for several decades. They retired to New Hope. Some years after Roger passed, Alyce moved to Bordentown, NJ to live with her daughter’s family. Alyce’s quick wit and sharp sense of humor will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.

 

Alyce is survived by; daughters, Stephanie Stocovaz and Sandra Cashman (Tony); son, Roger John Bryan Stocovaz; 10 grandchildren, Veronica Deely (Ray), A.J., Joe, Jake, Sophie, Andra, Will, Nora, Ona, Peter; 3 great-grandchildren, Beck, Cora, and Callan; and several nephews and nieces. Alyce is predeceased by two brothers, Al and Walter, and a sister, Mary.

 

A Celebration of Alyce’s life will be held on Friday April 25th, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in Doylestown Cemetery, 215 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901, beside the resting place of her husband Roger.
