Obituary of Jean Evans Wyckoff
Jean (Luft) Wyckoff, 84, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, at home in Meadow Lakes, East Windsor, NJ.
Jean grew up Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from nursing school in 1961 and working at Methodist Hospital there, she moved to Marlboro, NJ and worked most of her career at Freehold Area Hospital, now CentraState, as a nurse and then in administration as their infection control coordinator. During that time, she and Jack moved to the peace and quiet of their beloved home in Millstone, NJ, where they resided for more than thirty years. Prior to retiring, she also worked at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson, and Cranbury Center, Monroe. Jean and Jack then moved to the Meadow Lakes community two years ago.
Jean loved reading, crewel working and spending time with their many dogs (Rags, Sovie, Mina) over the years. She and Jack also especially enjoyed vacationing on the shores of Rhode Island, year after year.
Jean was predeceased last year by Jack, her loving husband of 45 years. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Henry Brunjes. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Myrtle Luft. Jean was the proud mother of son and daughter-in-law, John and Deborah Wyckoff of Tinton Falls, NJ, and stepdaughter, Jennifer Wyckoff of Redmond, OR; and grandmother of three, Ryan Wyckoff, Anna Wyckoff, and Layla Glover.
The family would like to express special thanks to the health care staff at Meadow Lakes who helped provide comfort to Jean with respect and compassion during her final days.
Services for Jean will be private.
